The Old Bangkok Inn (OBI) is a "boutique inn" that combines the charm of Bangkok's yesteryears with modern amenities. Conveniently located in Bangkok's Rattanakosin Island (Bangkok's historical and cultural quarters), the Inn is a stone's throw from Bangkok's major historical landmarks. Family run and operated, the property where the Old Bangkok Inn sits was originally a palace bestowed by King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) and has been in the family's care for seven generations. The building, once run-down and neglected was completely renovated in 2004. Since July 2005 the Old Bangkok Inn has proudly opened its doors to all visitors.

The Old Bangkok Inn provides a personal touch. Furnished with Thai golden teak, each bedroom in this historic building has been individually restored to create its own special atmosphere, combining traditional elegance with modern amenities.

Back in the times of old Bangkok, flowers and verdure have always been an integral part of life and tradition, be it in cooking, garnishing, decorating and even in welcoming guests.
